The OMIP - Iberian Market Operator (Portugal), SGPS, S.A. (OMIP SGPS - Portuguese holding) was incorporated in 2011 in accordance with the provisions of the international Treaty of Santiago for the definitive constitution of the Iberian Power Market Operator (OMI). The OMIP SGPS holds 50% of the share capital of OMIP and 50% of the share capital of OMIE, respectively the derivatives market and spot market operators of MIBEL, in conjunction with the Spanish holding OMEL that holds the remaining 50% of these two companies.
The holding, OMIP SGPS, has as main activity the management of the participations which owns, directly and indirectly in the operators market OMIE, OMIP, OMIClear, OMEL Diversificacio?n and OMEL Mercados.
