(* september 26th 1791; + august 25th 1867) was one of the biggest expermintal researcher troughout the history of physics. He discovered the principal of the electric engine in 1821. In 1831 he managed to transform magnetism into electrism. With the help of an alignment, similar to that of a transformer, he discovered the effect known as electromagnetic induction. Thereafter he constructed the first simple synamo (generator). Furthermore, Faraday is known as the discoverer of self-induction and of the diamagnetism. He was the one to introduce the term of the magnetic and electric flux line. 
in 1822 while in the midst of his electrolyse attempts he decoded the correlance between amperage and the amount of isolated matter. The following concepts were named after him: the Faraday cage- a closed metal vessel, that manages to shield varying magnetic fields from the inside. the farad- a measurement for theelectric capacity.
